PEUGEOT ANNOUNCES NEW RANGE-TOPPING GT PREMIUM TRIM AND POWERTRAIN ENHANCEMENTS FOR 208 & 2008

PEUGEOT has launched a new GT PREMIUM trim for its popular 208 and 2008 models, offering customers greater comfort, advanced technology and a refined visual upgrade. Positioned above the existing GT grade, GT PREMIUM adds features such as Alcantara® ‘Iconium’ upholstery with distinctive ‘Adamite’ green stitching, heated front seats, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar and massage functions.

Both models include PEUGEOT’s i-Connect® Advanced infotainment with 3D satellite navigation and a wireless phone charger. The 2008 GT PREMIUM also adds exclusive 18-inch diamond-cut ‘Black Mist’ alloy wheels. Advanced driver assistance features come as standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Positioning Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring and a Front Parking Camera.

Electric variants of the E-208 and E-2008 in GT PREMIUM spec now come with a standard heat pump for greater energy efficiency, especially in colder weather.

Powertrain upgrades

The E-208 now delivers a best-in-class electric range of up to 268 miles (WLTP), thanks to its 51kWh battery and 156hp electric motor. It also gains bi-directional charging functionality, introducing Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for the first time. The V2L function, available with 51kWh (E-208) and 54kWh (E-2008) battery versions, allows users to power external devices up to 3kW via the car’s Type 2 socket and a dedicated accessory.

Hybrid powertrains have also been improved. The 208 Hybrid now offers increased output options of 110hp and 145hp (up from 100hp and 136hp). The 2008 Hybrid is available exclusively in 145hp form.
