To ensure a smooth and quality drive, the horsebox is built on a new Peugeot Boxer Platform Cab. Overlander Vehicles are accredited and approved by Peugeot and are a recommended converter of Peugeot Platform Cabs.
The R160 is built with a 2.0L BlueHDI diesel engine with manual transmission offering 160bhp, meeting the latest Euro 6 emission regulations.
The R160 cab is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, dual passenger seat, DAB radio with USB & AUX, steering wheel mounted controls and extended wing mirrors for enhanced visibility.
With the safety of the horse at the forefront, Overlander Vehicles have installed an approved camera monitoring system for complete peace of mind.
The R160 is equipped with a reinforced ramp door with commercial grade anti-slip stepped rubber matting for safe and secure loading and unloading.
The Ramp Assist Spring, designed and fabricated by Overlander Vehicles allows for safe and controlled opening but also assists for effortless lifting to close.
The R160 has been created around the horse with strength and safety paramount. The body panels, supplied by Schmitz Ferroplast, have a core of extremely high-density polyurethane with outside steel plate surface layers. To ensure the greatest possible panel strength, our bulkhead contains reinforcements embedded into the core.
The R160 is built around the horse. After years of advice from breeders, trainers, jockeys and professional transporters, the engineers at Overlander Vehicles have designed a robust, lightweight and simplistic stall system.
The long stall design separates the horses by way of a full height slotted Divider Gate, Divider Door and two access Partition Doors, eliminating the need for a breast bar.

Additionally, Overlander Vehicles can provide interior customisation options. Using cutting edge vacuum forming technology the composite Gate & Door system can accommodate a gel colour of your choice engrained into the reinforced panels.
