A potentially life-changing community initiative in Country Tyrone has benefitted from much-needed financial assistance from Donnelly Foundation.
The Foundation, which forms part of local vehicle retailer Donnelly Group’s community involvement, provided Golden Star Boxing Club with boxing training equipment that will be used to facilitate its youth-based initiatives in Trillick.
Roisin Donnelly, spokesperson for Donnelly Foundation, said:
“At Donnelly Group, people are at the heart of everything we do.
“Donnelly Foundation helps us to give back to the areas in which we operate, creating a lasting and positive impact on the lives of the people in our community.
“Giving young people a safe space to socalise and learn is vital, and we are proud to be able to back Golden Star Boxing Club’s extremely worthwhile cause.”
Since its inception in 2019, Donnelly Foundation has supported 18 projects across Northern Ireland, providing financial assistance to various charity initiatives, events, and individuals.
This includes the purchase of training equipment for Castlecaulfield Football Club and donating wooden planting boxes and tools to First Steps Woman’s Centre.
Katrina Henderson, spokesperson for Golden Star Boxing Club, said:
“Without this aid from Donnelly Foundation, Golden Star Boxing Club would not be able to implement its Summer Youth Programme, which will see 30 young people work together with local youth organisations.
“We are extremely grateful for the donation and are confident that it will be put to good use, supplying us with vital resources to support young people in the community.”
