Fermanagh charity, Cancer Connect NI, has benefited from a generous donation from Donnelly Group Foundation to boost and enhance its Dragon Boat team.
The charity offers specialist workshops and classes in a friendly and private environment for the individuals and their families who have been affected by cancer.
Cancer Connect NI also participates in Dragon Boat races, a colourful spectacle that offers diversity on the water as the 18 – 20 paddlers compete with both genders, which is an adrenaline inducing sport in a canoe-like vessel with an ornately decorated dragon’s head.
Donnelly Group Foundation has provided Cancer Connect NI with a wide range of equipment for their Dragon Boat team, including a cover for the boat and speakers, which is primarily made up of the patients.
Roisin Donnelly, Donnelly Group Foundation spokesperson, said:
