EGLINTON PRIMARY SCHOOL CHARGES AHEAD WITH TOYOTA ELECTRIC MINIBUS DONATION THANKS TO DONNELLY GROUP

Eglinton Primary School, based in Derry / Londonderry, has received a nine-seater Toyota electric minibus for one year thanks to Donnelly Group.

Following a nomination from the team at its Northwest showroom, Donnelly & Taggart Toyota, which is located on Campsie Industrial Estate, Eglinton Primary School was selected as one of the first recipients of Toyota’s new Community Loan Vehicle Programme.

The programme, which aligns with Donnelly Group’s drive for sustainability, empowers Toyota distributors to nominate deserving charities and educational institutions to receive an electric vehicle and the financial support to purchase and install a charging station.

Michael Nutt, Toyota Dealer Principal at Donnelly & Taggart, commented:

“At Donnelly Group, we work with our partners to enhance our local community, creating educational opportunities that enable young people to develop the skills required to realise their full potential.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see firsthand how we are making a real difference in the lives of school children, offering them the chance to engage in new experiences beyond the classroom whilst teaching them about the future of the motoring industry.”

Donnelly Group, which is Northern Ireland’s largest independent motor retailer, is located only five minutes from Eglinton Primary School.

Michael continued:

“We pride ourselves on delivering tailored solutions that help meet the evolving needs of the areas in which we operate, helping us create a greener future together.

“We look forward to seeing how Eglinton Primary School utilises its new minibus to benefit its students and the wider community."

Emma McGuinness, Principal at Eglinton Primary School said:

“We are incredibly thankful to Donnelly Group for nominating Eglinton Primary School for Toyota’s Community Loan Vehicle Programme, especially at a time when schools across the country are facing budget cuts.

“Our new electric minibus will make a huge difference in our ability to provide hands-on learning experiences for our students while supporting our commitment to sustainability.”
