Limavady Hockey Club celebrate big win with Donnelly Foundation Donation

Limavady Hockey Club has benefited from a generous donation of training equipment from Donnelly Foundation, a charitable fund established by local vehicle retailer, Donnelly Group.

The club supports women of all ages and abilities, with a number of the team playing at national level and for Ulster Hockey Youth Division.

Roisin Donnelly, spokesperson for Donnelly Foundation, said:

“Donnelly Foundation was created by Donnelly Group to make a positive contribution to the lives of the people in the areas we operate, providing support to charity, educational, and environmental programmes that go a long way to helping the members of our community.

“Located close to our Eglinton and Maydown showrooms, we are proud to lend a hand to Limavady Hockey Club as it endeavours to build sporting programmes that are suited to all women from all walks of life.”

Since its inception in 2019, Donnelly Foundation has supported a range of projects in Derry/Londonderry, including Eglinton Men’s Shed and Pennyburn Community Playgroup, with the aim of giving back to the community and enhancing the local area.

Rose Cowdry, spokesperson for Limavady Hockey Club, said:

“The Limavady Hockey Club now has access to various training equipment, including home and away playing kits, girls training tracksuits, kit bags, socks, and water bottles.

“We have three senior teams and, thanks to the support of Donnelly Foundation, are able to further develop the skills of our younger players, from P7 onwards, and provide them with opportunities to progress.”
