Breast Friends Causeway Coast, based in Portstewart, has received generous funding from Donnelly Foundation to organise a photoshoot with the aim of normalising surgical scars and promoting the symptoms of cancer.
The charitable fund, which was established by Donnelly Group, Northern Ireland’s largest independently owned vehicle retailer, will financially support the cost of the shoot in addition to providing each model with a framed photograph.
Roisin Donnelly, spokesperson for Donnelly Foundation, said:
“For more than 70 years, Donnelly Group has been dedicated to making a significant impact on the lives of people in the communities where we operate.
“Breast Friends Causeway Coast provides critical support during a very sensitive and upsetting time, and we are proud to be able to lend a hand in helping the charity create a welcoming and safe space for everyone affected by cancer, including patients, families, and survivors.”
Since its establishment in 2019, Donnelly Foundation has supported over 30 projects across Northern Ireland and has provided financial assistance to various charity initiatives and events including Golden Star Boxing Club, Cruse Bereavement Support and Air Ambulance NI.
Lyn Ritchie, spokesperson for the Breast Friends Causeway Coast, said:
“We are thankful for the funding provided by Donnelly Foundation, with it going a long way in helping us organise this empowering photoshoot for our group members.
“Support from local businesses is crucial to our operations, assisting us with brand awareness and enabling us to achieve our goals.
“We can’t wait to see the final product and are grateful that we will be able to provide our models with a framed photo of their own!”
