As a bold new challenger in the hot hatch segment, the Peugeot 208 GTi boasts attention-seeking good looks and energetic performance. It blends a more dynamic approach with visible high quality inside and out, and can be chosen as a three-door or five-door model.
The 208 GTi 30th special edition has been developed in celebration of the iconic 205GTi anniversary . The sepcial edition boasts a dual paint finish, 18" wheels and lower suspension.
208 GTi Interior Design
The GTi naturally comes fitted with supportive sports seats, a flat-bottomed leather-covered steering wheel and room for four. Folding down the flexible rear bench of seats creates a cavernous load space of up to 1,076 litres. Every trim level for the 208 GTi is well equipped, and you’ll enjoy the use of dual-zone air conditioning, DAB digital radio and parking sensors as standard. Placement of the instrument cluster slightly behind the steering wheel increases visibility, aiding the driver’s awareness and concentration in turn.
208 GTi Exterior Styling
Sports car style is clear from one look at the 208 GTi. It’s designed with side skirts and a prominent rear spoiler, red brake callipers and ‘diamond’ hubcaps. For added functionality, LED daytime running lights and side indicators built into the door mirror caps are standard inclusions.
Some of the new design points include the 3D ‘chequered flag’ front grille, red GTi badging and twin exhaust pipes. The model has also been carefully designed and built to be lighter overall than the outgoing 207.
208 GTi Performance
A 1.6-litre turbo charged engine powers the supermini, lending it 197bhp. The engine is matched to a six-speed manual gearbox, and high strength and grip ensure that the 208 GTi can tow a braked trailer weight of more than 2.5 tonnes. The surge from 0-60mph is achieved within seven seconds, and the car also boasts up to 47.9mpg combined in fuel economy.
