The Amarok has retained its best pick-up truck title at the 2020 What Car? Awards.
The winning model was The Amarok Trendline 3.0-litre TDI V6 4MOTION 204PS which once again impressed the judging panel with its on- and off-road capabilities and overall quality.
Steve Huntingford, What Car? Editor, said: “Just because a pick-up is expected to lead a hard-working life, that doesn't mean quality in other areas must be compromised, and the Volkswagen Amarok presents the most compelling all-round package in the class. In fact, the Amarok even gives conventional SUVs a run for their money.”
Commenting on the win, UK Brand Director Carl zu Dohna said: “Amarok sales in the UK increased in 2019, showing our versatile 4x4 is still popular with buyers looking for a workhorse that also has good on-road manners; and I’m grateful to the expert judges at What Car? for recognising its abilities and appeal.”
