The Citroën ConnectedCam was named Safety Technology of the Year at the First Car Awards 2019.
The Citroën ConnectedCam is a in-built, wide angle 120°, HD camera, "made by Citroën", to capture unique driving moments as well as to improve your safety. The camera is fitted behind the rear-view mirror enabling you to safely take picture and videos with a single click. The ConnectedCam also allows you to share your pictures and videos with friends via social media and email.
The camera films and stores what’s happening in front of you through the car windscreen, so it could also provide valuable information in the event of an accident. If an accident were to occur the ConnectedCAM will automatically activate, record and save the footage 30 seconds before and 1 minute after the incident.
The GPS function within the ConnectedCAM app, also allows you to easily find your parked car.
First Car have said, "We'd like to see more brands following Citroën's lead and offering similar cameras."
The Citroën ConnectedCam is now available on the Citroën C5 Aircross as well as the Citroën C3.
