DONNELLY GROUP URGES LOCAL MOTORISTS TO SUPPORT LEGENDERRY MOTOR SHOW

Donnelly Group, Northern Ireland’s largest family-owned new and vehicle retailer, is urging motorists to join Donnelly Volkswagen at the Legenderry Motor Show on Sunday 30th September.

Celebrating classic, vintage, retro and modified cars as well as motorbikes, tractors and trucks, the Legenderry Motor Show is now in its sixth year. Taking place in St Columb’s Park between midday and 4pm, the event is just a short walk from the city’s Peace Bridge.

The all new Volkswagen Golf GTI will be present at the show thanks to Donnelly Volkswagen, which has a showroom located in Campsie Industrial Estate just a 10 minute drive from the city centre.

Lesley Ann Cunnah, Site Director at Donnelly Volkswagen in Eglinton, said:

“We are delighted to be involved with the Legenderry Motor Show for the first time.

“The new Golf GTI will be on display at the Show for everyone to get a close-up look at the vehicle which is now even cooler, stylish and more powerful than ever before. With a number of intelligent driver assistance systems ensuring greater comfort and convenience, and exterior and interior customisation options, motorists can really configure the vehicle exactly to their needs and requirements.

“Now in its sixth year, the show is sure to attract large crowds with all proceeds going towards Northern Irish Cancer Care Patient Transfer.”

The Show will also feature live music by Ritchie Remo and Ireland's Garth Brooks aka Jason Hughes, kids entertainment, Show n Shine and a motorbike stunt display.

The Irish Coastguard helicopter will stage a Flybe during the Foyle Search and Rescue river rescue demonstration and land at the Show for a short while.

A convoy of the city will take place after the show finishes at 4pm.

Richard Gillespie from the Legenderry Motor Show said:

“Not only is the Legenderry Motor Show an unmissable day out for car enthusiasts, but it is a great day for all the family.

“With stalls and entertainment throughout the day, there really is something for everyone and fun to be had by visitors of all ages.

“This year all proceeds are in aid of Northern Irish Cancer Care which provides a free transport service in the North West for those who are suffering from cancer and their relatives. It’s a great cause and we’re thrilled to this year be joined by Donnelly Volkswagen.”
