There is a new top-of-the-range Toyota Aygo ready for summer, but customers will have to be quick as the new x-claim will be available only in limited numbers. The fact that just 350 examples will be on offer adds extra exclusive appeal to the latest take on Toyota’s versatile city car.
The new x-claim makes a cool statement with its White Flash bodywork and contrasting Burgundy decals, plus a new Bordeaux red electric retracting canvas Funroof. The decals accentuate Aygo’s sharp looks, applied beneath the side window line, around the leading edge of the bonnet, across the width of the front lip and below the licence plate surround. The front “X” and rear bumper insert are in gloss black, heightening the visual impact.
The rich red and white theme is applied to the wheels, too: machined white five-spoke 15-inch alloys with large Burgundy-edged centre caps are fitted as standard.
In the cabin the instrument panel has a Burgundy finish with white air vent surrounds and upper door trims. The Burgundy colour matching is also applied to the carpet mat edging and inserts in the Vogue black leather seats. The equipment specification is in line with the x-claim’s range-topping status, including automatic air conditioning, x-touch multimedia system with seven-inch touchscreen, reversing camera, front fog lamps and automatic headlights.
The five-door Aygo x-claim is on sale now, price £14,195 with five-speed manual transmission and £14,895 with x-shift automated manual gearbox.
