Donnelly Land Rover BONDS With Customers At Private 007 Screening

Donnelly Land Rover, part of the Donnelly Group - Northern Ireland’s largest independent new and used vehicle retailer, has hosted a private screening of the latest James Bond movie, ‘Spectre’, for a number of its esteemed Land Rover customers.

Approximately 100 guests, all of which were customers of the Group’s Land Rover business in Dungannon, were invited to the screening at the Armagh Omniplex to celebrate the launch of the 2016 Model Year line up and the leading role Land Rover vehicles play in the movie.

After being treated to drinks and canapés in Armagh’s award winning Uluru Bistro, the guests took their seats in the Omniplex to marvel at the capabilities of the Range Rover Sport SVR, the Land Rover Defender SVX Big Foot and the all new Discovery Sport as they led thrilling chases through the snow covered mountains of Austria and the streets of London.

Sean Donnelly, Head of Business at Donnelly Land Rover, said:

“Famed for their style, luxury, resilience and breadth of capability, and having now appeared in several editions of the popular series, Land Rover vehicles remain a golden match for 007 himself, and those whom he encounters.

“The Range Rover Sport SVR is now the most powerful Land Rover ever, and given it is one of the most testing stunt movie series ever made, Spectre was the perfect opportunity to showcase exactly what it the vehicle is capable of, and how spectacular it still looks when pushed to the very limit.

“Much like the James Bond series, the Land Rover Defender is without doubt a timeless classic in all its variations, which in Spectre’s case is the Big Foot complete with incredible 37 inch off-road tyres to tackle the extreme mountainous terrain.

“The newest addition to the Land Rover Family, the Discovery Sport was seen darting through the streets of London displaying its incredible agility and poise.

“Land Rover vehicles are so appealing to motorists because the specification can be tailored to the exact needs of the customer, which of course won’t be as elaborate as those of Mr Bond and the villains he encounters.

“Whether it is a new model, or one of our approved used vehicles, the experienced and award winning team at Donnelly Land Rover will go for than the extra mile to ensure our customers receive an outstanding level of service and drive away in a vehicle perfect for their needs and requirements.

“On the evening, we had both the new 2016 Model Year line up and an exclusive selection of used models on display for the customers to view up close, and the reaction the vehicles still trigger in people is incredible. It is such a premium and inspirational product, there is always an immediate interest no matter what the model, but the new 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque models seemed to be the real stars of the evening.

Donnelly Land Rover is based at the Group’s headquarters in Dungannon, where the Donnelly Group brand was born more than 65 years ago.

The Group’s Executive Chairman, Terence Donnelly, said:

“The 007 event was a fantastic opportunity for us to re-engage and interact with our customers, many of whom have been loyal to Donnelly Land Rover for several generations, and treat them to a really special and glamourous evening.

“Just as Land Rover strived, and succeeded, in going above and beyond to fulfil the requirements of the movie, customer service and exceeding customer expectations are central to the Donnelly Group’s ethos across all seven of our sites in Northern Ireland and we’re always delighted to host events such as this which allow us to get to know our customers even better.”
