  • Vauxhall Vivaro-e is UK’s best-selling electric van for the first six months of 2022
  • June saw 809 Vivaro-e models sold, totalling 2,649 for the first half of the year
  • Vauxhall is the best-selling e-LCV manufacturer in the UK so far this year
  • Vauxhall’s overall LCV market share grew from 9.8% to 10.7% compared to last year

The award-winning Vauxhall Vivaro-e is the UK’s best-selling electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) in the first six months of the year, according to the latest new car and van registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

In June, 809 Vivaro-e models were sold, totalling 2,649 for the first six months of the year – outperforming every other e-LCV in the market. The strong performance of the Vivaro-e has helped ensure Vauxhall is the best-selling e-LCV manufacturer in the UK for the first half of 2022.

Vauxhall’s overall LCV market share also grew from 9.8% to 10.7% compared to last year.

Paul Willcox, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “The Vivaro-e remains the go-to choice for fleets and businesses after an efficient and capable zero-emissions-in-use van. The e-LCV sector is growing each month, and it is fantastic to see so many businesses and fleets choose the Vivaro-e when deciding to go electric.”

The Vivaro-e has a long list of awards under its belt, including ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022. The Vivaro-e was also voted ‘International Van of the Year 2021’.

With a WLTP range of up to 205 miles and a maximum payload of up to 1,226kg, the Vivaro-e is at the forefront of Vauxhall’s commitment to electrification, as the brand continues its electric vehicle expansion with the goal of offering an electrified variant across its entire model line-up by 2024, and to offer only fully electric cars and vans in the UK by 2028.

Vauxhall is one of the few LCV manufacturers in the UK able to offer fleets a fully electric variant across its LCV model range, made up of the Vauxhall Combo-e, Vivaro-e and Movano-e models.

Last year, Stellantis announced a £100 million investment in Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port manufacturing plant to transform the site for a new era in electric vehicle manufacturing.

Ellesmere Port will become the first Stellantis plant to produce a solely battery-electric model, in both commercial and passenger versions, including the Combo-e and Combo-e Life, for both domestic and export markets.
