Donnelly Group, Northern Ireland’s largest family-owned new and used vehicle retailer, has completed the purchase of one of Bangor’s most respected car dealerships, Shaws Citroen.
The acquisition of Shaws, which is based on the corner of the Green Road and the Bangor-Newtownards carriageway, will become the ninth Donnelly Group location in Northern Ireland and the first in Bangor.
In addition to the Citroen dealership, Donnelly Group has also announced that it will open a Honda franchise on the site from 1 November and introduce Donnelly Motorstore, offering access to more than 2,000 used vehicles to the North Down motoring public.
All 19 Shaws’ employees will join the Donnelly Group with Michael Shaw remaining in position as General Sales Manager ensuring a continuity of service. Paul Compton, who has been with the Donnelly Group for over 10 years, will become Site Director.

Paul Compton, who in addition to overseeing operations at Donnelly Group at Boucher Road will now also become Site Director at Donnelly Group Bangor said:

Michael Shaw, who now becomes General Sales Manager at Donnelly Group Bangor said:
