Donnelly Land Rover Experience Day | Baronscourt Estate | March 2022

Situated in a sheltered valley in the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains in County Tyrone, you come across an oasis of peace and tranquillity, Baronscourt, the home of the Duke of Abercorn’s family since 1612, is among the handful of old family Estates which combine great historical and architectural interest with a landscape of outstanding natural beauty.

This private Estate is a vibrant working farm, rural business, and spreads over the valley floor at Baronscourt, and throughout its history each generation of the family has continued to ensure a programme of constant planting and landscaping of the park and gardens.

Baronscourt Estate opened its gates mid-March 2022 to welcome Donnelly Land Rover and the Land Rover Experience Scotland team, enabling them to host an action packed three days for clients and guests.

Those who attended were given the opportunity to be immersed in the all-terrain capability of Land Rover. Driving Land Rover’s latest vehicles, with the choice of Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Defender and Discovery, they were faced with intense inclines, dramatic declines, side way tilts and more, it was all about allowing the customer to experience the vehicles’ signature capability first hand.

A Land Rover is capable of more than you could ever imagine. It can carry you through almost any environment: thick forest, fiery desert, rugged mountain or frozen river. Each model in the Land Rover line up offers exceptional off-road ability and standard all-wheel drive, but which one do you choose? From the traditional Range Rover to the Land Rover Discovery, each model is capable of fulfilling your adventurous off-roading needs.

Those who chose the popular Defender experienced the ultimate expressions of power, capability and design. Featuring Land Rover’s toughest materials yet and tested to its very limits, Defender has been designed for optimum durability and handling extreme terrains. Defender confidently takes you from an urban jungle to muddy side slopes and rock crawls.

Our clients and guests in the Range Rover experienced serene comfort, a compose ride and assured confidence off-road. An ideal vehicle to take on the wilderness. Range Rover features electronic air suspension, impressive wading depth, Terrain Response 2 and All-Terrain Progress Control.

Those in the Range Rover Sport received outstanding off-road capability, maintaining optimum traction for assured progress in all conditions, Range Rover Sport’s drive is connected and delivered thanks to a carefully engineered suite of technologies. A sure-footed, composed drive is completed by the latest electronic air suspension which provides exceptional wheel articulation and poise.

Lastly, our clients and guests who chose the Discovery experienced a vehicle they wouldn’t want to leave home without when seeking adventure. Providing a confident drive on and off the road, Discovery’s All Wheel Drive and Terrain Response work together to automatically balance torque between the front and rear wheels, maximising traction.

Throughout the day we welcomed our clients and guests to the beautiful setting of The Carriage House, a light and airy room with high ceilings, the main features being the dramatic open fireplaces at both ends, creating a homely and elegant atmosphere. They were welcomed by the warm smell of bacon rolls, homemade soup and wheaten bread offering the finest of local produce prepared in the kitchens of the Stable Yard.

An experience these customers will truly never forget, we would like to extend our thanks to the teams who made this event possible. We are already looking forward to our next event! If you would like to find out more about what Land Rover has to offer, click here.
