Described as a “small and wicked” car, the new Abarth 595 Turismo offers devilishly quick performance, in spite of its conveniently compact frame. It’s a handsome model too, with plenty of sporty stylistic touches.
Innovative torque transfer control is included as standard, helping maintain stability and safety. Avoiding accidents is easier than ever, thanks to the perforated and ventilated brake disks and high-performance brake pads, which are boosted by red-painted brake callipers.
Abarth 595 Turismo Design
Abarth is one of the premier small car manufacturers, and the 595 Turismo model is a dynamically-styled hot hatch with a dash of Italian charm. Reclining on 17-inch alloy wheels, it has an exclusive paint scheme and typically rounded, contemporary headlights.
Inside, the cabin is styled like a race car’s cockpit, with specially-designed pedals and a flocked finish on the centre console and dashboard. Electric power-steering is provided for muscular and responsive handling, and a sport mode is provided for added torque. Those who choose this unique model will benefit from the eye-catching 595 logo, both on the car’s exterior and throughout.
A four-cylinder 1.4-litre T-Jet engine is fitted, with four valves per cylinder. It’s capable of delivering 160bhp from an IHI turbo charger, and maximum torque of 230Nm enhances drive quality further. Thrill-seekers will enjoy the acceleration potential – the car can rocket from 0-60mph in around 7.4 seconds, and lowered sports suspension ensures that the ride is smooth and controlled at all times.
