New Volkswagen CC
The Volkswagen CC boasts coupé styling, head-turning good looks and a luxurious cabin. Its imposing, sweeping profile is punctuated with bi-Xenon headlights, alloy wheels as standard, superb aerodynamics and strong design accents. Driving the Volkswagen CC has never been so sophisticated or collaborative. The car has been fitted with cutting-edge Volkswagen technology, like the Adaptive Chassis Control, which allows you to tailor your driving experience between sportier or more comfortable modes. Volkswagen has also included a range of highly sophisticated driver alert systems, such as technology which warns you of erratic driving, or of cars in your blind spot before you manoeuvre.
Volkswagen CC Technology
The CC also comes with XDS – an advanced electronic differential lock, linked to an ESP programme designed by Volkswagen to maintain grip and improve response, particularly through corners. Four-link rear suspension noticeably reduces sideways roll, even around the tightest bends, so your journey is the smoothest and most streamlined possible. And, of course safety is paramount; front and rear crumple zones and all-round airbags come as standard, along with the latest advancements in ABS technology.
Other safety features include speed-sensitive power steering for an enhanced response, and Electronic Stability Control, which detects critical situations at an early stage and takes automatic action to bring the car safely back under control.
This deeply stylish design and technology has been transmitted seamlessly through the CC’s interior. The Climate Controlled front sport seats are fitted with optional electric 12-way adjustment, including lumbar support, and now include an optional massage function. In-car entertainment is taken care of with the RNS 315 navigation/radio system with 5-inch display, touch-screen operation, and CD player with MP3 compatibility – all controlled from the multifunction steering wheel.
Serious power under the bonnet comes in the form of a number of TSI and TDI models, with a choice of six or seven-speed transmission, a top speed of up to 150mph. The best level of acceleration goes to the 2.0-litre TSI 208bhp, which achieves 0-60mph in under 7.2 seconds. But for all its power, the CC also delivers impressive stats on fuel efficiency, thanks to BlueMotion technology, and registers as little as 127g/km of CO2 in the 2.0-litre TDI.
