The Corsa has become one of the mainstays of British motoring, enjoying huge popularity thanks to its combination of economy, driving dynamics and interior space. The 2015 Vauxhall Corsa, far from resting on its laurels, looks set to improve upon its predecessors in almost every way.
The all-new Corsa maintains the same level of interior quality as before and equals the generous 285 litres of boot space of previous versions. Numerous tweaks and upgrades to the upholstery and equipment are immediately apparent, however.
Careful thought has been put into dial placement and colour schemes, with the resulting cabin presenting a contemporary, ergonomic environment. Higher trim levels also benefit from the sophisticated IntelliLink infotainment system, which allows for convenient control of all the vehicle's main functions.
Exterior Styling & Engines
While exterior improvements appear reassuringly conservative, there is actually a fair amount of redesign for 2015. The front end, in particular, is now closer in shape to the manufacturer's stylish ADAM model.
There is also a clear difference in the appearance of the three and five-door editions, with the three-door variant presenting a more aggressive stance.
The 1.2 and 1.4-litre petrol engines from previous Corsas make a welcome return for 2015, along with a range of 1.0-litre, three-cylinder units. Offering up to 113bhp, these new engines are designed with efficiency in mind and deliver outstanding fuel economy as a result – up to 54.7mpg.
For those who are looking for ultimate value at the pumps, however, the 1.3-litre CDTi diesel engine at 94bhp is capable of up to 87.8mpg. Petrolheads, meanwhile, will be pleased to hear that a VXR version of the Corsa will be offered in 2015, with an expected power output of roughly 200bhp.
Donnelly Group are now taking orders on the new Vauxhall Corsa.
