About our Finance Services

  • We are a credit broker and not a lender, licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit intermediary.
  • We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders (listed below) and their finance products which may have different rates and charges and who may be able to finance your purchase. We can only introduce you to these lenders.
  • We do not charge you a fee for our services.
  • Whichever lender we introduce you to, we will typically receive commission from them, either a fixed fee or a fixed % of the amount you borrow.
  • The various lenders we work with could pay commission at different rates , calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow, however, the commission that we receive from a lender does not affect the amount that you pay that lender under your credit agreement.
  • In the case of a new vehicle, we are most likely to first introduce you to the manufacturer’s finance company as they are most often able to offer the best available package, taking into account interest rates, residual values (where applicable) and any other relevant factors.
  • For other vehicles, the lender we introduce you to will depend on factors such as the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application, based on the information provided.
  • If the finance company is unable to make you an offer of finance, or the vehicle is not one that we would normally place with them, we will introduce you to other lenders on our panel.
  • The interest rate which you pay may be based on the make of vehicle, the vehicle age or the amount borrowed.
  • We adhere to FCA fair consumer outcome principles. The rate advertised on any vehicle will be consistent for all consumers and will not be discounted for any consumer
  • We are not an independent financial adviser and so are unable to provide you with independent financial advice. No advice or recommendation will be made.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.

Insurance advising and arranging is covered for the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim without any upper limit.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint within 3 days;

  1. We will write to you acknowledging your complaint and advise when you can expect to receive a final response (which will be no longer than 8 weeks)
  2. We will investigate then write to you within 8 weeks with a final response.
  3. If you have a finance or insurance complaint, and are dissatisfied with our response, you have the right to refer to the Financial Ombudsman Service (details below)
  4. If you have a merchandise or service complaint, and are dissatisfied with our response, you have the right to refer to the Motor Ombudsman Service (details below)

FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE

Set up by Parliament, the Financial Ombudsman Service is the UK’s official expert in sorting out problems with financial services.

If a business and a customer can’t resolve a complaint, the Financial Ombudsman Service can give an unbiased answer about what’s happened. If the Financial Ombudsman decide someone’s been treated unfairly, they have legal powers to put things right.

MOTOR OMBUDSMAN SERVICE

The Motor Ombudsman is the automotive dispute resolution body. Fully-impartial, it is the first ombudsman to be focused solely on the automotive sector, and self-regulates the UK’s motor industry through its comprehensive Chartered Trading (CTSI)-approved Codes of Practice.

Thousands of businesses, including vehicle manufacturers, warranty product providers, franchised dealers and independent garages, are accredited to one or more of the Codes, which drive even higher standards of work and service, and give consumers added protection, peace of mind and trust during the vehicle purchase and ownership experience.
