The compact Peugeot Bipper is an agile city van with neat handling and a large, resourceful boot, making it perfect for day-to-day use. And if that’s not enough, it was voted as the Best Light Van at the Fleet World Honours in 2013, proving the high-quality of this van.
The first compact van designed for the city with start/stop technology, the Peugeot Bipper has all the credentials of a business van but with the advantage of low running costs and low emissions. With a payload of up to 660kg, plus optional folded Multiflex passenger seats, it’s a small van with big ideas.
The Bipper comes with a 1.3-litre engine, delivering 75bhp and 62.8mpg. There is a choice of transmission, so you can pick between a standard five-speed manual gearbox or Peugeot’s EGC (electronic gear control) automated manual that does away with the clutch pedal.
There are three trim levels and you can order the van with Peugeot’s ATV Grip Control system, an electronic differential that assists with traction in more slippery conditions.
Access to the load area is made easy by the asymmetric rear doors which ensure all-round access to the rear load space, both height-wise and width-wise. The two doors can open to an angle of 90 degrees or even 180 degrees if required, thanks to an innovative check strap design.
The basic S-grade model has an MP3-compatible CD player, while the SE adds driver’s seat height adjustment, lumbar support and an armrest. The SE also comes with remote central locking for the cab and the rear, plus a sliding side door, while inside the cab you get rake-and-reach adjustable steering and electrically adjustable heated door mirrors. Opt for the Professional trim level and the Bipper comes with air conditioning and a Bluetooth hands-free kit for the driver’s mobile phone.
