The Donnelly Group, Northern Ireland’s largest family owned motor retailer in Northern Ireland, is celebrating 70 years in business in 2016 and is planning to host of company events to mark the occasion.
Peter Donnelly founded the company in 1947, when he opened a vehicle repair and taxi business in Caledon, County Tyrone and it has come a long way since.
Terence Donnelly, Director at the Donnelly Group and son of Peter, said:
“The last 70 years have seen huge changes in the motor trade industry, and from our humble beginnings, our business has grown extraordinarily. Despite these changes, our ethos has always remained the same and we are dedicated to providing quality vehicles at the right price for our customers all whilst delivering an impeccable service from purchase to aftersales.
“We are now the largest independently owned motor business in Northern Ireland, with new vehicles from 18 manufacturers, as well as our used car Motorstores, which have over 1,200 used cars at six out of eight sites throughout Northern Ireland.
“We want to thank our customers and staff who have helped build the company over the last 70 years and look forward to keeping Northern Ireland motoring for the next 70 years.”
“It’s very exciting to be celebrating our 70th anniversary. Our dedicated team of experts are ready to help and advise customers across all eight of our showrooms. In 2017 we have more brands and models than ever, and our award winning teams are ready to find vehicles that meet our customer’s needs and budgets.”
The Donnelly Group employs over 700 people and has sites in Ballymena, Belfast (Boucher Road), Dungannon, Eglinton, Enniskillen and Newtownabbey.
